How does it work?
When injected BELKYRA® destroys the membrane of local fat cells which are then illiminated by the body and will never reform. It is a great alternative to liposuction with the best results are produced alongside a healthy diet and lifestyle.
How quickly will I see the results?
Depending on how large the area is swelling can last 1 week. The reduction is fat is visible by 6 weeks after each treatment. A course of at leaste two treatments are recommended. Once the fat cell is destroyed it can no longer regrow thus making the treatment permanent.
Will the procedure hurt?
The product is injected with a tiny needle at multiple points a cm apart into the fat area to be treated. Anaesthetic cream is applied before making the injections.
As the product starts to work it causes a sharp stinging pain which lasts for up to 10 seconds or so. I apply ice after each injection which helps to reduce discomfort and the treated area will feel swollen.
